Project description: The ETSL team is a multi-disciplinary team responsible for developing and/or maintaining the following products:
• Editorial Suite: a tailor-made content management system with specialized editors for our authors to create educational content and exercises. See the Content types we support.
• Woodwing Assets: an off-the-shelf Digital Asset Management system in which our educational content's assets (pictures, videos, and other files) are stored.
• Publication Suite: a tailor-made suite for the conversion and routing of Editorial Suite content to the Edubase platform and the various CFA's (Customer-facing applications) built on that platform.
Role responsibilities:
• Drives consensus on quality guidelines and requirements.
• Ensures the team production is in line with these, by creating visibility through mostly automated testing of defects against the guidelines and requirements.
• Works with complex and varying assignments with accountability of results.
• Tester: Automation 100%
Must-have requirements:
• API testing (Rest Assured)
• Java 17+
• TypeScript or JavaScript – any minimal experience
• Cypress or Playwright – any minimal experience
• Relational or NoSql database knowledge
• Quality and version management (Sonar, Git, Bitbucket)
• Continuous Integration (Git, Maven, Bitbucket, Nexus, Sonar)
• Very good knowledge of the English language
• Can work well in an Agile environment
• Excellent team player
• Very good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communicator among team members

We are seeking a contractor to support testing activities during the implementation of the Upland PSA timekeeping solution. The contractor will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, performing functional and user acceptance testing (UAT), and tracking defects. They will collaborate with the project team to ensure the timekeeping solution meets business requirements and performs as expected before go-live. This role focuses on Functional QA rather than Technical QA, with an emphasis on testing the timekeeping system to ensure functionality and identifying any bugs or errors.
Responsibilities
• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for the Upland PSA timekeeping solution.
• Conduct functional testing to verify that the system meets business requirements.
• Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the system is user-friendly and performs as expected.
• Track, document, and manage defects, working closely with the project team for resolution.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure thorough testing coverage.
• Communicate test results and provide feedback to the project team.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in Functional QA, particularly in testing timekeeping or PSA systems.
• Experience with UAT and defect tracking processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team to meet project timelines.
Preferred
• Experience with Upland PSA or similar timekeeping solutions.
• Knowledge of software testing tools and methodologies.
Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is 52 - $62/per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
